BRIFE HISTORY OF E’LAN VITAL

             The organization started with a group of first year students in 1982 who wanted to have a closer relationship for the furtherance of their students. All of them belong to the top 15 of the class with 6 of them occupying the top 6 slots. They formed a chess club as an initial project and held the first tournament the same year, then sanction by the student council. Eventually, because of their very good academic performance, the organization blood to about 40 members necessitating the promulgation of a constitution and by-laws within 5 years, the organization expanded to 120 members (now 800 plus).

         As for performance, the following may be expressed as accomplishment of the previous members:

(1) Two of the past 3 presidents of the student council came from the organization.

(2) Of the first batch, several scholarship were garnered by members namely:

-Philippine Medical Association Outstanding Student Award.

- Winthrop Stearns Scholarship

- Lederle Scholarship

- Warner Lambert Scholarship

- Dean Quito's Award for Academic

- FD Tanchoco Academic Scholarship

Of the 10 founders, 7 gaduated as scholars with 2 of them having 3 awards each, one of them placed 14th in the Board Exam.

Of the next batch, 4 of them were topnotchers in their class, and one of them is a past president of MSC.

Of the succeeding batch, a Tanchoco Scholar has been consistent in his studies.

The 1990 president was number 2 in Board Exam.

Batch 1995 has 3 of its members in top 10 from first year to second year.

             We, all of whom are medical students of the Manila central University, have this day willingly and voluntarily constitutes ourselves to hereby adapt a constitution for the purpose of developing a balance well iintegrated mental, physical and emotional life motivated with the most liberal spirit of tolerance for the achievement of this purpose.

         We further agree that in its vigorous pursuit, the organization shall at all times during the span of its existence maintain an attitude that is strictly non-political  and non-sectarian
